Lemon, Garlic & Caper Slow Cooker Chicken Wings

I’m finally getting pretty good at slow cooker recipes!  At first, I kind of dried EVERYTHING I made out.  Like almost to the point of being inedible.  Spoiler alert: I figured out that I needed to add adequate liquid components to keep things juicy and awesome.

These chicken wings were amazing and so tender, the meat actually fell off the bone.  I’ll definitely be making these again.

  • 1 pound of Organic Chicken Wings (about 8-10 drumsticks)
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 heaping tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 heaping tablespoons capers
  • Pink Himalayan salt, to taste

  1. Place defrosted chicken wings in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Lightly season chicken on both sides with pink salt.
  3. Top each chicken wing with some minced garlic and capers.
  4. Add vegetable broth, making sure to almost cover the chicken wings.
  5. Set slow cooker to low for 3-4 hours.
  6. Enjoy!

I paired the chicken wings with some delicious Roasted Garlic Cauliflower from Path of Life!  It’s my new favorite — you just cook it for four minutes in the microwave and you have a healthy side!  No nasty preservatives — just olive oil, garlic, sea salt and parsley!
