Eating Clean for the Holidays

The holidays are here and I’m challenging myself to eat clean throughout them all.

I’m exclusively breastfeeding Sophie and have eliminated dairy from my diet because it doesn’t agree with her little tummy.  As a breastfeeding mom, I’m really nervous about doing a “diet” because it might affect my supply.  My body may not be anywhere where it used to be fitness wise, but I won’t do anything to sacrifice me producing enough milk for Soph.

I was considering doing a Whole30 for December, but we have so many clean snacks in our house right now that don’t fit the rules and I don’t want them to go to waste.  So, instead of Whole30, I’ll be eating clean and cooking every meal until Christmas Eve.  It’s an awesome accountability challenge for me that will coincide perfectly with my consistent working out and hitting my steps each day!

Day One Meals

Breakfast – Banana and Kind Bar

Lunch – Two over easy eggs, Mikey’s Paleo muffins, tomatoes and apple slices and LaCroix

Snack – lactation cookies and jerky and LaCroix

Snack – peanut butter pretzels and water

Dinner- Rudi’s gluten free wrap, spinach, hummus and chicken with Path of Life Roasted Garlic Cauliflower.

Snack- apple and two turkey jerky sticks

Not gonna lie, I was HUNGRY today after eating all the things for Thanksgiving!  To accommodate and not give up on day one, that’s why I ate so many snacks!
